Poker King Club in Venetian Macao Casino Macau, Live Poker Opened in 2007 by Sheldon Adelson, The Venetian is located on the Cotai Strip, covers 10.5 million square feet, and is one of Macau’s major hot spots.

The Poker King Club (PKC) situated inside the StarWorld Casino in Macau was one of the most popular establishments for both professional and amateur poker players. The PKC was known for hosting the popular Macau Big Game and drew hundreds of VIP players along with a lot of media attention.

The PKC was forced to re-locate its premises in September 2014 and move to The Venetian Macau on a temporary basis as the PKC room was being renovated at a considerable cost in order to give the PKC an image overhaul.

The Venetian Macau will now be the new home for the PKC.

The PKC recently confirmed that its renovation work was complete and wanted to open its doors on the 22nd of May by throwing a lavish party inviting some of the best poker players in the world along with senior members of the gambling fraternity in Macau. Some of the guests who attended the 22nd May inauguration included dignitaries such as Winfred Yu, President of Poker King Club; Harold Tsakmaklis Vice President of Casino Operations, Venetian Macau Limited; Ciaran Carruthers, Senior Vice President & Director of Venetian & Plaza Operations, Sands China Ltd and YM Choong, President of Marketing Strategy of Suncity Group.

Some of the top professional poker players who attended the event included Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan and Johnny Chan. The PKC non-smoking room can be found at the Phoenix Hall of The Venetian Macao’s main gaming area and has been elegantly designed to showcase a mix of the resorts signature architecture.

Those who visit the PKC will be able to charge their phones from the USB charges that are located at each table, be able to make themselves comfortable by controlling the luxury seating, order 24/7 food and beverages while enjoying table side dining and watch TV via the many TV’s installed all over the room.

The Poker King Club poker room located inside the Venetian Macao is all set to host the 2017 Poker King Cup Macau from May 18 to May 26. The poker room is known as a top venue in the gaming hub of Macau for hosting big tournaments and exciting cash games.

The nine-day long action-packed festival will feature 12 events with the headline being HK$16,500 Poker King Cup Macau Main Event.

The Main Event will have a stunning HK$5 million guaranteed prize pool.

Three opening days are slated to be held. Survivors will move forward to three more days of play between May 24 and 26, until the eventual champion is crowned.

Eight satellite tournaments are being planned at the casino from May 18 until May 22, offering players the chance to enter the Main Event via highly affordable buy-ins starting at just HK$2,000.

Another big ticket event will be the HK$80,000 Poker King Cup High Roller event which will be held from May 19 to May 20. Satellite events with buy-ins of just HK$11,000 offer an attractive opportunity for players seeking an entry ticket to the prestigious event at a fraction of the entry cost.

The HK$8,000 Poker King Cup Warm-Up event will be kicked off at the same time as the High Roller one and will have two opening days, May 19 and May 20. The event concludes with the single final day to be held on May 21. Apart from these three big events, there are several other events being planned during the tournament, giving poker players a wide range of choices, in terms of not only formats but also buy-ins.

Popular No Limit Hold'em format-based events will be available for three days. Similarly the HK$1,000 Bounty which follows the bounty format has been planned for two days. A mega event being introduced for the first time is the HK$ 20,000 King Size Stack. Other events on schedule are the HK$3,000 Queens Event, the HK$3,000 Deep Stack Turbo events and the HK$3,000 6 Max Turbo.

Poker King’s last major event was the Poker King Cup National held at Solaire Resort and Casino Manila in June 2016. The event boasted of a PHP4 Million Guarantee with a buy-in of PHP13,500. It drew a fair amount of interest, registering a total of 279 entries. The player that eventually went on to win the championship was Team PKC member, Jason Lo.
